Michelle Bloyd has been practicing massage therapy and working with endurance athletes for over five years. As an LMT and member of the AMTA, her approach is gentle and soothing, with a deep, specific, and healing intent. Massage is most beneficial when the client is deeply relaxed. Michelle’s sessions seek to address this first so a more beneficial and effective massage can take place. Along with Therapeutic and Deep Tissue massage, Michelle also does Table Thai massage. Thai massage is sometimes referred as “Lazy Man’s Yoga” and consists of compressions, yogic stretching, and rhythmic rocking. When Thai sessions are interwoven with Deep Tissue and Therapeutic sessions, a complete stress relief and recovery program can begin. Michelle believes in the power of massage, its benefits, and is committed to the growth of the industry. After completing massage school she worked at a large spa in Kirkwood. It was here that she learned to balance the science and creativity that goes into every massage session. She is currently an instructor at Sanford Brown College, where she imparts her gift of touch to the newest therapists joining the massage industry.
